AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE & CLAIMS POLICY
1. GUARANTEE OF AUTHENTICITY Humgrarte unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of every original artwork sold through our gallery. Every piece is accompanied by a physical Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed by the artist or the Gallery Director. If, at any time, a recognized authority in the artist’s work definitively proves that an artwork sold by us is not authentic, we will rescind the sale and refund the full purchase price.
2. CONDITION OF ARTWORK ("AS IS" BASIS) Original artworks are created by hand and may feature inherent textural variations, raw edges, or natural aging of materials (especially in sculptures and mixed media). These are not considered "defects." All artworks are thoroughly inspected and documented before shipping. By completing a purchase, the Client accepts the artwork in its documented condition. We do not offer warranties for normal wear and tear, improper framing, environmental damage (e.g., humidity, direct sunlight), or mishandling by the Client after delivery.
3. DAMAGE IN TRANSIT (CLAIMS PROCESS) Due to the unique nature of fine art, we do not offer standard replacements or "exchanges" for damaged works. If an artwork is damaged during international transit, the following strict protocol must be followed to validate an insurance claim:
Notification Window: The Client must notify the Gallery within 48 hours of receiving the delivery by emailing [Insert Official Email, e.g., claims@humgrarte.com]. Phone claims are not accepted for international transit damage.
Documentation Required: The Client must provide clear, high-resolution photographs of:
-
-
The exterior of the crate or packaging (showing any dents, punctures, or mishandling).
-
The interior packing materials.
-
The specific damage to the artwork.Retention of Materials: The Client MUST retain all original crating and packing materials until the claim is fully resolved. Discarding the packaging will immediately void the insurance claim and any possibility of a refund.
-
4. RESOLUTION OF TRANSIT DAMAGE CLAIMS Upon review of the provided documentation, Humgrarte will coordinate with the shipping carrier and our insurance providers. Depending on the severity of the damage, the Gallery reserves the right to determine the most appropriate course of action, which may include:
Funding professional restoration services by a certified conservator in the Client's region.
Authorizing the return of the artwork to the Gallery at our expense, followed by a full refund to the Client.
5. UNAUTHORIZED ALTERATIONS Any guarantee, return policy, or claim is immediately voided if the artwork has been altered, stretched, reframed, or submitted to any third-party restorer without the express, prior written consent of Humgrarte.
