Collection: Edwin Verano

was born in Chiquinquirá, Colombia, in 1977. He began his artistic journey as both a painter and sculptor, developing a practice rooted in creativity, expression, and a strong personal visual identity.

Verano entered the world of art in 1983, gradually building a body of work centered on one of the most distinctive motifs in his practice: cats. This recurring theme has become a defining element of his artistic language, allowing him to explore character, symbolism, and playful visual narratives through painting and sculpture.

In 2015, he held his first exhibition at Reyes Católicos, marking an important milestone in his professional career. In 2017, he participated in a collaborative project with UNICEF, working alongside internationally recognized master artists—an experience that further strengthened his presence within the contemporary art scene.

Through his work, Edwin Verano has developed a style that combines sensitivity, imagination, and a recognizable thematic focus, positioning his practice within a contemporary figurative approach shaped by both personal symbolism and artistic exploration.
