Collection: Danilo Garzón

Danilo Garzón is a Bogotá-born graphic designer and self-taught artist whose practice combines a refined visual sensibility with a deep respect for memory, material history, and the passage of time.

His work is built around the transformation of discarded objects, forgotten materials, and everyday remnants. Where others might see waste, Garzón identifies traces of use, emotion, and personal history. By recovering and recontextualizing these elements, he creates works that question the apparent permanence of material things and the meanings we attach to them.

Garzón’s visual language moves between abstraction and object-based art, integrating found materials into compositions that feel both contemporary and deeply nostalgic. His process gives a second life to objects that once belonged to ordinary routines, allowing them to become carriers of memory and symbolic meaning.

At the core of his practice is an interest in transformation: the discarded becomes valuable, the forgotten becomes visible, and the temporary acquires a new sense of permanence. Through this approach, Garzón reveals the aesthetic and emotional potential hidden within what society leaves behind.
