Eivar Moya

Eivar Moya was born in Valledupar, Cesar, Colombia, in 1970. Between 1987 and 1991, he studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts and the Universidad del Atlántico in Barranquilla, developing the technical and conceptual foundations that would shape his artistic practice.

Moya’s work is centered on expression and the exploration of the human figure. From the beginning of his career, the nude body has played a central role in his visual language—not as provocation, caricature, or distortion, but as a space of reflection on human nature.

His practice seeks a balance between the physical and the spiritual, between the earthly and the divine. Through the body, Moya explores the tension between interior sensitivity and outward appearance, creating images that move between vulnerability, symbolism, and transcendence.

Rather than presenting the figure as a simple representation of anatomy, his work transforms it into a meeting point between the human and the sacred, inviting the viewer to consider identity, fragility, and the emotional depth that exists beneath the visible surface.
