Collection: Javier Bedoya - Q.E.P.D
Javier Bedoya was a Colombian painter, draftsman, and printmaker, born on November 5, 1961, in Santuario, Risaralda. Largely self-taught, he developed a distinctive artistic language associated with Neo-Impressionism, with a strong focus on the female figure and eroticism.
From an early age, Bedoya showed a clear inclination toward art, drawing constantly while also working in agricultural labor. This early connection between everyday life and artistic practice became part of the foundation of his creative development.
In 1982, he moved to Medellín, where he deepened his artistic career and expanded his work across painting, drawing, and printmaking.
Bedoya’s work is characterized by a refined attention to the human figure, sensuality, and expressive form. Through these elements, he developed a visual language that explores beauty, intimacy, and the emotional presence of the female body within a contemporary figurative context.
